You rarely learn slang terms in class, especially not the extra dirty or harsh ones. Here are 10 Colombian dirty Spanish words and phrases that you won’t hear in any proper Spanish course. I think it’s pretty obvious why your Spanish teacher omitted words like these from the lesson plans. Use them wisely, and sparingly, unless you’re looking for a fight!

10 vulgar Spanish slang words and phrases from Colombia not taught in school, but you need to know (Part 1)
1. Hijueputa / Doble hijueputa / Triple hijueputa
Son of a bitch. This evolved from the words “hijo de puta.” If you’d still like to insult someone, but in a slightly less intense way, you may use hijuemadre or juemadre.
2. Calambre llanero or Izando bandera
These are both crude ways to say “to have a hard on.” They roughly translate to “cramps from the plains” and “raise the flag,” respectively.
3. Careverga or Carechimba
“Dickface.” This is pretty straight forward, as cara means face and verga means dick. Alternatively, you can use carechimba, which is “cuntface,” although that one can also mean bastard.
4. Cuca, Chocha, Chucha, Panocha
All these words mean “cunt”
5. ¡Despégala pues!
“Fuck off!” A classic, multi-use phrase for anyone looking to show their displeasure in a forceful way.
7. Arrecho or Arrecha
To be horny
Something or someone that sucks, despicable
9. Malparido or Remalparido
A very strong word for “bastard.” Do not use this one lightly!
10. Zunga, Fufa or Fufurufa
All these words for “whore”
