Spanglish Example Photo: NO PISE EL GRASS

Spanglish Example Photo: NO PISE EL GRASS

This little photo taught me something else about Peruvian Spanish. Apparently the word grass is used by all Peruvians, instead of the typical Spanish pasto (which also has another meaning explained here).

Until I showed this photo to a friend, and learned that grass is the typical Peruvian word, I just assumed it was a strange aberration. Apparently everyone uses the word grass.

Any other countries use grass? Any other words used for pasto? Leave an answer in the comments.
