ESTAR + Participle Spanish Class Activities

Lesson Plan – ESTAR + Participle – Describing Art, Sculpture and Tools for Painting –

Students will be exposed to the lesson vocabulary with an interactive infographic. Then, they will learn about the form estar + participio with a class discussion using an explainer chart. Finally, they will do an oral practice where they will describe art pieces using the learned vocabulary and form.

Objectives

  • Students can describe pieces of artistic work using common language relating to art and sculptures.
  • Students can express the results of an action, especially in regards to describing a noun, using the estar + participle form.
  • Students can describe works of art using common expressions and more detailed expressions that have to do with art (expressions like tallar, pintar, colorear, etc.)
  • Students can describe and discuss artistic works with another person, including comparing and contrasting artistic works, interacting with what other interlocutors say.
  • Students can identify and understand common expressions related to art and sculpting.
  • Students can identify and understand common expressions relating to the materials of an artist.

Objetivos

  • Aprender vocabulario relacionado con el arte, la escultura y los materiales utilizados. 
  • Aprender la estructura ESTAR + participio.

De qué se trata

Los estudiantes serán expuestos al vocabulario del arte, la escultura y los materiales con una infografía interactiva. Luego aprenderán la forma de estar + participio mediante la discusión de un cuadro explicativo. Finalmente, realizarán una práctica oral donde describirán obras de arte usando la forma y el vocabulario aprendido.
