Teaching Gender-Inclusive Language in Spanish
Mrs. Miller, a high school Spanish teacher from Florida, was excited for the new school year. However, she felt a bit nervous when she learned that she had a student who identified as gender neutral. It was the first time she had encountered this situation in her 20-year teaching career.
Breaking Barriers: Learning to Teach Spanish with Gender-Inclusive Language
One positive change I’ve seen over the years is the greater acceptance of our students belonging to the LGTB+ community as a result. I began investigating a grammatical concept that didn’t even exist when I began earning my degree gender-inclusive language.
