When an English speaker starts learning Spanish, they can be overwhelmed by the number of verb forms they need to memorize. While it is not that hard for regular verbs that follow a certain pattern, it can be really challenging for irregular ones, such as hacer.

We want to help you facilitate your Spanish learning or teaching, so we have prepared our hacer conjugation chart compilation where you can find its forms in all tenses. Take a look at it and feel free to use the tables in your Spanish classes!

When to Use Hacer

Hacer is one of the most frequently used verbs in Spanish, so despite its difficult stem-changing properties, it needs to be introduced at the very beginning of the course.

It means both “to make” and “to do,” and it can be applied in numerous situations, such as doing homework, making food, talking about your hobbies, referring to the weather conditions, and more.

What’s more, the reflective form hacerse is commonly used to indicate the act of becoming.

You can find multiple uses of this verb in various contexts under the following tables presenting the conjugation of hacer!

Indicative Tenses of Hacer With Examples

One of the first things introduced while teaching Spanish verbs is the indicative mood. It is necessary to describe facts or qualities of an item, person, or situation, so it needs to be acquired quickly to start making at least simple sentences in Spanish.
