chacuaco

In Mexican slang, 'chacuaco' is used to refer to a cigarette or a joint. Examples Spanish: ¿Tienes un chacuaco que me prestes? English: Do you have a cigarette that you can lend me?

chale

An exclamation of disbelief, disappointment, or frustration. It can also be used to denote empathy or sympathy in a situation. Examples Spanish: Chale, olvidé mi celular en casa. English: Oh no, I left my cell phone at home.

chamoyada

A popular Mexican drink made from chamoy sauce, mango sorbet, chili powder, and lime juice. It is often garnished with a tamarind candy straw. Examples Spanish: Hace calor hoy, me encantaría una chamoyada refrescante. English: It's hot today, I would love a refreshing chamoyada.

chanclas

A colloquial term for flip-flops or casual sandals. Examples Spanish: No puedo encontrar mis chanclas para ir a la playa. English: I can't find my flip-flops to go to the beach.

chaqueto

In Chilean slang, 'chaqueto' is used to describe someone who is disorganized, messy or negligent. It can also refer to someone who is lazy or lacks motivation. Examples Spanish: No seas tan chaqueto, ordena tu habitación. English: Don't be so messy, clean up your room.

checar

A slang term primarily used in Mexico which means 'to check' or 'to verify'. It's often used in casual conversations. Examples Spanish: Voy a checar si ya está lista la comida. English: I am going to check if the food is ready.

chemo

A Peruvian slang term that is used to refer to a person who is bald or has very little hair. Examples Spanish: Mi amigo es chemo, pero tiene un gran sentido del humor acerca de ello. English: My friend is bald, but he has a great sense of humor about it.

chilango

chilangolandia
