Colacho

In Spain, 'Colacho' is a term that is mostly used to refer to the traditional Spanish custom known as 'El Colacho', where men dressed as the devil jump over babies born during the previous year. However, in some Latin American countries, 'Colacho' can be used as a nickname for someone named Nicolás.

Examples

  • Spanish: 1. Este año, mi sobrino será parte de la fiesta de El Colacho. 2. Nicolás, a quien todos llamamos Colacho, es mi mejor amigo.
  • English: 1. This year, my nephew will be part of the El Colacho festival. 2. Nicolás, who we all call Colacho, is my best friend.
