Celebrate El Día E and The Spanish Language Day

Spanish is the second language in the world in number of native speakers, the second language of international communication (more than 500 million people speak it), and the third most used language on the Internet. To celebrate this vast wealth of Spanish culture, the Instituto Cervantes organizes for the fifth time El Día E, a day that aims to establish itself as the celebration of all who speak this language. This year the celebration will take place this Saturday, June 22nd!

The network of the Instituto Cervantes in the world opens its doors during the day with a program of cultural activities for all ages. To learn more visit El Día E website.

Celebrities and Personalities share their favorite word in Spanish

One of the most important initiatives created by Instituto Cervantes to spread the news about El Día E is the collection of videos of the favorite word in Spanish of different celebrities and personalities from around the Spanish-speaking world. I personally like to watch these short videos and listen to their different Spanish accents. Here is a playlist for you to enjoy!
