Present Subjunctive Spanish Class Activities (Regular and Irregular Verbs)

Regular Verbs

Lesson Plan – Present Subjunctive: Traveling, Planning a Trip, the Airport – Students use the reading ¿Qué tipo de viajero eres? to learn about the Present Subjunctive of regular and irregular verbs.


Irregular Verbs

Lesson Plan – Subjunctive Irregular Verbs: Feelings and Emotions – Using a song, students learn vocabulary related to feelings, desires, and emotions. They’ll be able to see the most common irregular verbs and how to conjugate them in the present tense of the subjunctive mood. Students learn the topic in context, interacting with their teammates through written and spoken activities.


Lesson Plan – Present Subjunctive Irregular Verbs: Travel – This lesson starts exploring the travel vocabulary with an infographic. Then it uses an authentic video to demonstrate the Present Subjunctive in irregular verbs.


Lesson Plan – Present Subjunctive Stem-changing Verbs: Staying in a Hotel and Tourists –This lesson starts presenting the hotel and tourism vocabulary. Then it uses a text from a postcard to learn about the Present Subjunctive in stem-changing verbs.
