This term literally translates to 'swimming champion'. However, in Spanish slang, it doesn't always refer to an actual swimming champion. It is often used to playfully refer to someone who loves or spends a lot of time swimming, or someone who is particularly good at it, regardless of whether they actually compete.
Examples
- Spanish: ¡Eres una campeona de natación! Pasas más tiempo en el agua que fuera de ella.
- English: You're a swimming champion! You spend more time in the water than out of it.
