As Teacher Appreciation Week comes to an end, we want to take a moment to recognize and congratulate you for doing the incredible work of inspiring students and promoting cross-cultural understanding.
World Language teachers play a crucial role in our communities by teaching students the skills to communicate with people from diverse cultures, opening new opportunities for them in the global marketplace, and fostering a deeper appreciation for diversity.
I achieved my fluency in Spanish because of the hard work and patience of probably 15 teachers throughout my formal Spanish learning. My teachers in German, Italian, Portuguese, Mandarin, and Catalan have also made significant contributions to who I am.
So, on this amazing day, I say to every teacher who pushed, pulled, dragged, kicked, and inspired me to advance… “Thank you, you changed my life.”
Please remember that you too, with every day, every class, and every student, are changing their lives.
Your hard work and commitment have not gone unnoticed, and we are grateful for everything you do. Thank you for your tireless efforts to educate and inspire the next generation of global citizens. We hope you take this opportunity to celebrate all your achievements and feel proud of the impact you are making on your students and the world.
Sincerely,
-Jared Romey
