When to Use Dormir

The main meaning of dormir is “to sleep”, but when it is used with a reflexive pronoun (“me”, “se”, “vos”, etc.), it can also mean:

  • “To fall asleep”
  • “To oversleep”
  • “To get someone to fall asleep”
  • “To get carless”
  • “To slack off”
