The Harshest Argentina Spanish Street Slang Insult: AALRPMQTRP

The Harshest Argentina Spanish Street Slang Insult: AALRPMQTRP
AALRPMQTRP

Try saying that three times fast. I bet you didn’t learn the pronunciation rules for that many consonants in a row!

Okay, okay, I'll come clean. This is not a Spanish word, it is actually an acronym for the worst Argentine insult you can dish out: Andáte a la re puta madre que te re parió.

Roughly, that translates to “Go to the fucking mother fucker that fucking birthed you.”

It doesn’t get much worse than that.

So what is with the acronym? Well, as you can imagine, an insult this harsh does not get said all that often, partly because it is incredibly harsh and partly because it is a serious mouthful. In fact, I have never heard this full phrase said aloud – but it is all over the internet.

All those angry forum kids and rage-filled blog commenters love this hatred-infused acronym. Upsetting article? Political view you don´t agree with? Online trash talk? Just slap a AALRPMQTRP in the comments. The inter-webs will know your fury! Well, the Argentine readers at least.

Care to share other Argentine insults you've run across? Just leave a comment below.
